We are here to provide programs and activities that assist in improving the quality of life for Soldiers, Family Members, Retirees and DoD Civilian within our community. 

The Special Events Branch is located in the Post Headquarters Building 350, on the 4th Floor. 

Our hours are 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday and we can be reached at

Monthly Fishing Tournament

Test your fishing skills at our monthly fishing tournaments at Marion Bonner Lake, every last Saturday of the month!

Steel Shoot Competition

Join the Garrison Commanders Steel Shoot competition! Steel challenge - a series of pre determined stages comprised of all steel targets with the goal of shooting FAST, each competitor will shoot each stage 5 times Type of ammo and firearms allowed - .22LR pistols and rifles, pistols and pistol caliber carbines (no steel core ammunition) Participants are recommended to bring 250 - 300 rounds of ammunition and provide their own equiptment!

Climb to Remember

18+ Patrons will be encouraged to use the stair stepper, Jacobs ladder, or treadmill on full incline, for as long as they can in full rucking gear to symbolize the firemen climbing the stairs of the twin towers on 9/11.
